AJ Styles Set To Defend The TNA World Title In Mexico

AAA official Dorian Roldan just announced that AJ Styles intends to defend the TNA World Heavyweight Championship this Sunday November 3 2013 at the upcoming AAA Lucha Libre event at El Domo del Parque Solidaridad, Tonalá, Jalisco.

Dorian confirmed the news just moments ago and claimed that AJ Styles himself came forward to attend the AAA event.

Against?

Interesting.  I wonder who the opponent will be? Judas Mesias?

I'm gonna guesss and say the opponent will be a guy called Daga. He speaks English and is pretty solid, that's usually who they have go against foreigners in singles matches.

Psicosis would be a pretty cool match just based off history, seeing how he was in the first TNA X-Division Title match with AJ, but I really don't know if Psicosis has it in him anymore to put on great matches without using hardcore crap. And I'm pretty sure AJ would not appreciate him stapling his forehead.

Fenix would be an amazing match but doubtful.

We'll likely know the opponent tomorrow or maybe Thursday when AAA does the Press Conference for the event.

Against?

Opponent named later today.

It would be good to see the match live. Isn't there an option to play it live on TNAs youtube channel. Even better if it was on a live impact

That would make no sense. It would kill the whole point of the story.

So it begins

(Insert evil laugh)

Does Jeff jarrent still wrestle there.

Nice to see TNA letting AJ do what Punk couldn't. Now let's hope they actually show some footage of the match on Impact, instead of just assuming the TV audience will find out about it by themselves.

And honestly, aside from walking out with the title, I don't see how people are calling this angle a blatant ripoff of the Summer of Punk. Punk got his title shot via pipebomb. AJ got his via winning the BFG Series. Punk was a heel going into MITB. AJ was a face going into BFG. And now, AJ is defending his title in another promotion, something the WWE didn't let Punk do. It also looks like AJ might actually bring "change" to TNA, as opposed to Punk who promised "change" but nothing ever happened(where are those damn ice cream bars?).

When the unification match happens, as long as Alboreto del Rio doesn't win the title the same night and Kevin Nash doesn't hurt his quads trying to powerbomb AJ, then I'll have enjoyed the Autumn of AJ more than the Summer of Punk.

That was fast, what this storyline/angle needs. @Mr. Anderson makes great points, ''Autumn Of AJ''...I like that.

AJ returns to a six-sided ring!

LA PARKA NEGRO AKA EL ZORRO!

^^ Zorro doesnt even do the Parka Negra gimmick anymore...

They just announced it will be El Mesias... so yeah the match will suck.

That would make no sense. It would kill the whole point of the story.

You are right mate. But they should air some footage so that AJ is still relevant. Just don't want to miss those awesome matches, especially when AJ goes to wrestle 1 and has matches against the Japanese.

That would make no sense. It would kill the whole point of the story.

They could have JB in the back talk about it and start showing a clip, then after a few seconds it stops and Dixie is dressing him down and saying nobody should be talking about AJ.  In fact, she could get some even better heat if she was in the ring and scolded the fans for chanting AJ and said if they didn't stop, she was going home.

When will that event be shown on TV and is it their weekly TV taping? How much will the attendance be on the show? I guess it'll be much higher than TNA's attendance numbers.

TNA title being defended in other promotions, in different countries?  This storyline stinks of Jeff Jarrett.  Its not an unpleasant stink, but it is a slightly musty one.
