WWE Makes Numerous TNA References During Last Night's RAW Broadcasts

As seen on last night's WWE RAW broadcast from Nashville, Former TNA Wrestler Consequences Creed made his debut into the main WWE roster. Creed who now goes by the name Xavier Woods in the WWE was introduced by his former TNA tag team partner Ron Killings. Ironically, Killings introduced Creed as his new tag team partner in TNA in the same exact manner back in 2008 when Adam Pacman Jones was forced to withdraw from TNA over legal issues stemming from his NFL contract.

Woods won the match using Gail Kim's 'Eat Defeat' finisher.

To add to the TNA references during RAW, WWE commentator JBL made numerous references of TNA founder Jeff Jarrett during a match featuring Dolph Ziggler. Ziggler did Jarrett's strut and then struck Damien Sandow with a guitar.

Jarrett spoke about the segment via his twitter account:

JBL also addressed the Jarrett references via his twitter account:

Among the top 10 Intercontinental champions of all-time? Top 5?

that's J E double F, J A double R E double T.

didn't Vince McMahon legit not like Jarrett? isn't that why when WWE bought WCW that Vince said something like Jeff wasn't welcome or whatever it was he said. can't imagine Vince being too happy about something even closely remotely to Jarrett.

Consequences Creed debuted at 2007's BFG with Ron Killings.

I could be misinterpreting the headline, but did they actually say the letters "T-N-A" in that order? If not I don't see much of a TNA reference. To them Creed is a rookie. And Jeff Jarrett left his mark as a WWF in ring talent and was likely mentioned on that merit alone.

Still noteworthy. I like the report. I just don't know if I'd call it a direct TNA reference.

It's a known fact Dolph Ziggler watches TNA at times, so it's nice to see there is a mutual respect with some in WWE.

When I saw the headline, the first thing I thought was that a cross-promotional PPV may be in the works.  However, this really doesn't seem to be any more of a reference to TNA than when John Cena said "I'll go to another show, brother" or when Low-Ki said that he was the reason for some "Total Nonstop Action".

JBL tried to mention Jarrett but someone cut his mic off mid sentence lol. I thought JBL was doing that so he can fired so he doesn't have to sit through Raw anymore.

or when Low-Ki said that he was the reason for some "Total Nonstop Action".

Considering the angry reaction from the commentators, I'm pretty certain that was supposed to be a reference to TNA.

So they reunite Team Pacman 6 years later, just weeks after Pacman Jones returned to TNA, and give Creed Gail Kims finisher (Gail is the only wrestler I know to ever do that boot to the face finisher) all at the same time...

These guys are about to be bigger jobbers than 3MB. The motive here seems obvious

Next they're going to bring back Virgil and rename him Carter.
