RAW set to be a 3 hour show!

I just got word over at WWE.com that beginning on July 23rd aside from RAW celebriting it's 1000 episode special but also marks the start of RAW becoming a permanent 3 hour program.

WWE Signs Ric Flair's Daughter?

Diva-Dirt.com is reporting that WWE Hall of Famer Ric Flair’s daughter Ashley Johnson has been signed to a WWE developmental deal, The Wrestling Observer suggest.

It was reported earlier this month that Johnson had taken up wrestling training in North Carolina.

Ashley is a graduate of the North Caroline State University, with a Bachelor of Arts, and is a certified personal trainer. She also boasts many notable accomplishments in volleyball, including two NCHSAA 4 A-State championships, a team captaincy and the Player of the Year for their 2004-2005 year.

She was married in May 2010 to Riki Johnson.

Joey Ryan: The Most Qualified Man to Lead The X-Division?

For those of you that are unfamiliar with Joey Ryan he is the co-founder of Pro-Wrestling Guerrilla & used to wrestle for WSX & ROH. But I was wondering based on his in-ring work, promo skills, gimmick, & look do you think he could become a top-player in the division once AA is promoted? I say yes. He's the total package in my book. Plus he's known nationally for his gimmicks coupled with his ring work. I say he could be the next heel X-Division Champion & feud with Ion until Sorensen gets back or he could go after Devon's Television Championship. Your thoughts?

Joseph Parks - the best thing in wrestling

I've read in a couple of different places that Joseph Parks is the most interesting thing in wrestling right now. I'm not sure if the people saying it are sarcastic or not though. I find it interesting. It took a little too long to build but I am curious where they go with it.

So, Roode is going to end up the longest reigning TNA Champion in history surpassing AJ Styles. Austin Aries is currently the longest X-Division champion ever and Gail Kim is not too far away from being the longest reigning KO Champ as well.

Let's be honest, everyone who held the titles before them were not a great draw. AJ is the biggest title holder in TNA and he hasn't been seen as a guy who can market the company in a global way. So, Is it cementing cornerstones for the company (Like Hogan, Flair were for WWF) or simply erasing the past?

I missed the Kazarian dark match victory. But from the concession stand I did hear that he was using Daniels' entrance music.

After that, Montgomery Gentry came out and recorded a music video for their new single. There were two complete takes done, the second ending with pyro. The crowd was very enthusiastic for both performances of the same song.

1. Gail Kim and Madison Rayne came to the ring, and Gail cut a promo. She boasted about being the queen of wrestling, but complained that a man was involved in her division. She made an OFN challenge against ODB and EY.

To my memory, it was in fact a title match for the Knockouts' tag team belts.

Eric Young wrestled Gail and Rayne more than he has ever wrestled the women in his current run with ODB. He didn't use any strikes, but he did use multiple arm drags and body slams against Gail and Rayne.

I forget who got the pin, but blatant rope-holding cheating was used right in front of referee Stiffler, and Gail and Rayne became the new Knockouts tag team champions.

Immediately after the pinfall, ODB and EY chased Gail and Rayne backstage.

2. Next out was RVD. He said that since he's been back, he's been so concerned with restoring a good role model to the heavyweight championship, he had neglected the man who put him out of commission. He called out Gunner, and, showing some intensity, defeated him in four to five minutes with a long distance "Five Star" splash.

3. Devon emerged next to his standard good pop, and cut a promo in the ring.
He recapped that Garett was the one who eliminated him in the previous episode's 10-man battle royal. Much of the crowd booed. But Devon stopped the booing by insisting that Garett just had luck on his side in the match. He then challenged Garett so he could settle the score.

Devon and Garett shook hands, and Devon proceeded to dominate with punches and shoulder blocks. Garett had perhaps one reversal, and one offensive hold, but Devon was in control.

After about four minutes, the Robbies hit the ring and ambushed Devon and Garett. The bell rang during the attack, signaling a no-contest. Devon recovered and cleared out the Robbies by himself. He then gathered up Garett, who thanked him. The two embraced and posed together to applause.

4. The Gut Check logo and theme song came on, and Jeremy Borash, Al Snow, and Joey Ryan came to the ring. Al Snow did not speak during this segment. Borash hosted the presentation.

Ryan was pretty quirky; though he only spoke one short utterance, his mouth was constantly open with his jaw slackened. He was sporting trunks that said "Hollywood," and prior to the match a scarf wrapped around his neck.

Austin Aries was his opponent, and, within the story of the match, surprisingly struggled to defeat Ryan. Ryan's offense wasn't the smoothest, but he got to use a whole lot more than did Alex Silva in the previous Gut Check. Aries was reeling for short periods on a couple of occassions, until winning with his Brainbuster.

Ryan was a couple of steps slower than Aries, but his style seemed more suited to the X Division than what Alex Silva demonstated in his Gut Check match.

5. Bully Ray came to the ring and complained that, backstage, Hogan had just eliminated him from the night's championship contention. The rest of the Dot Net summary is accurate:

"Bully Ray called out Joseph Park from the stands. Park held a trial by fan reaction [in the case of the disappearanceof Abyss] and the verdict was guilty. Ray punched him in the stomach and then hit him with his chain. He grabbed the mic and laid down in front of Park and yelled not guilty."

Borash announced that Hogan had eliminated Jeff Hardy from the night's championship contention.

6. Bobby Roode entered first for the main event. A.J. Styles and Kurt Angle followed with their respective full entrances. Unlike Sacrifice, it seemed that AJ had full crowd suppord tonight, even more than Angle.

The Hulkster followed, and praised Angle for having a legendary track record, and AJ for being one of the best main eventers in the ring. However, Hogan stipulated, "nobody knows Bobby Roode" better than AJ, so he gets the match.

AJ carried the match and set the pace at the outset. Roode only started to put his imprint on the match after defeated AJ hurt his shoulder. Roode targeted the shoulder for most of the rest of the match, throwing in a spinebuster and knee drop for good measure during the course of events.

The two traded high impact moves, and ultimately finishers, including Styles' "Clash," and cattle mutilation or "Last Chancery," and Roode's spear, two crossfaces, and a "Payoff" Perfect-Plex.

It must have been around the fifteen or twenty-minute mark when Styles made a top-rope springboard splash attempt from the apron that was countered by Roode's lifted double knees on the canvas. Roode quickly pounced on Styles, who was doubled over in the ring, and used his second "Payoff" of the match for the pinfall victory.

7. Hulk meandered a bit speaking to Roode after the match and Roode's confetti celebration, as though he was stalling until Sting appeared.

AJ was supposed to take pictures in the ring with fans following the show, but it was announced that he was injured. He was replaced by Daniels and Kazarian.

Jeff Hardy, who did not appear at ringside during the show, signed autographs for weekend PPV package customers at the conclusion of the event.

Impact:

- TNA champion Bobby Roode cut a promo about beating RVD. He said next week he was going to hold a party for breaking the record as longest TNA champion. Hulk Hogan told him next week is Open Fight Night and Roode will defend the title. There would be a series of matches this week to set up a Four Way next week. That winner will challenge Roode for the title.

- Bully Ray defeated Rob Van Dam to qualify for the Four Way,

- AJ Styles won a Battle Royal (AJ, Robbie E, Robbie T, Garett Bischoff, Austin Aries, Crimson, Magnus, Eric Young, Devon and Gunner) to quality for the Four Way.. Styles was congratulated by Hulk Hogan. Styles tried to explain the photos but TNA Tag Team champions Kazarian and Daniels came out and showed a video of Styles and Dixie Carter walking into a hotel together.

- TNA Knockouts champion Gail Kim defeated Velvet Sky and Brooke Tessmacher.

- Kurt Angle defeated Samoa Joe to advance to the Four Way.

- Jeff Hardy defeated Ken Anderson to advance to the Four Way.

- Impact closed with all four contenders staring down Roode.

Where on earth has Sting been? I have been a Sting fan ever since I was a kid and mainly only watch TNA because of him. But ever since he gave his GM job to Hogan he has been missing. He even said he was wanting to be a fulltime wrestler. Is there something going on that I am missing? I hope to hear a WE WANT STING chant from the crowd asap

TNA PPV too expensive

Just considered ordering the Sacrifice PPV a moment ago, and I saw that the HD version is $44.99, while the non HD version is 5 dollars cheaper. I have Verizon, and don't know if the price varies depending on what service you have. I haven't actually purchased a PPV in ages, but since my money looks really good lately with all of my hard work, along with the enjoyment I had watching the go home show, I was actually thinking of buying this show. I thought that it would be around $30 to be honest ($35 for the HD version). If this was one of the big PPV's, I would maybe understand, but this is a "throw away" PPV. I would in no way pay that much for a show with only my money alone (PPV could underachieve despite the good card, which would really piss me off), im very strict about every dollar that I spend, and seeing how nobody I know cares about wrestling anymore, it looks like I will pass.

Since this topic relates to TNA PPV, I just want to say that it's hard to believe that this company gets the numbers that are reported. 50 states in America, a number like 8,000 buys would mean that they receive less than 200 purchases per state (not including domestic buys). I know I refuse to buy the PPV's, but the entire fanbase???. I tend to buy the PPV's when they are released on DVD if im interested, because they are affordable, although it's been a long time since I did that
