- According to PWInsider, TNA sources indicate there were no major changes in how the Impact Wrestling tapings were run this past week. "The same five or six people spoke that always speak in the production meetings were the ones giving their opinions and the other 10 or so listened and took instructions, " said one source. "There was no major difference in how backstage was run. Eric was still being Eric. Bruce was still being Bruce. Lagana was putting his best foot forward to integrate himself with the boys that didn't know him, but beyond that, there were no major changes in how the backstage was run or felt. Just another day here, however you want to take that - good or bad."
- All Wheels Wrestling has been in negotiations on and off with the Speed Network. Nothing new on that front.
- Wrestlers have not been booked for another Ring Ka King tour at this time. That is likely because the full season has already been taped. Indian talents have been signed to multiple year deals, while US talents were booked by the tour. The feeling at this time is that no movement will be made on RKK until TNA, Endemol and Colors have time to see what the ratings trend for the season is. If ratings hold up or improve, the project will likely continue.
There is also hope that should RKK take off, this will lead to other wrestling series that can be produced specifically for other countries that Endemol has networks broadcasting in.
- While Sorensen has been sent home to recover from his injuries suffered at the AAO PPV, there has been no timetable given for his return.
- Kurt Angle was interviewed by The BBC about his Olympic aspirations. Kurt noted that he's not at his peak in regard to training yet (he's made noises privately about TNA's schedule in recent months preventing him from devoting as much time as he'd like) and that his brothers haven't taken him seriously and his mother has been worried, but this is something he wants to do and can do.
- TNA is set to return to the Lakefront Arena at the University of New Orleans on 5/10.
- Robbie E is doing a weekly column on the SpikeTV website.

I wouldn't be so sure.. for one who knows just how far along storylines are projected out. The only predictable upcoming storyline is Garett eventually beating Gunner and Storm taking the title from Roode at Lockdown.
But who knows? The predictable is blah in my book... I would prefer something different.
#1. For one Roode hasn't been champ long enough.
#2. Storm isn't as over as I think he should be in order to make him the Face champ.
#3. Last but not least I could give two shits about the Garett angle which should have been scrapped at the last PPV in my opinion.

Some of the guys who were quite heaviliy pushed in 2010 seem to have completely fallen out of favor with management, and in my personal opinion are on their way out of TNA. Namely RVD and Anderson.

Anderson I don't think will be leaving anytime soon unless his contract goes up this year and just because he is away for TV at moment doesn't mean he fell out of favor with management. Anderson just needed a repackage with his character and should be back soon. As for RVD he could leave and go back to WWE considering his contract is up in March and really he hasn't done anything for IW in the slightest.
Don't bother responding to me when you are on my ignore list because I won't see it.

I'll agree with this but to be honest both would make great TV champions. I still can't get over how un-utilized this title is. You have a loaded roster of talent sitting on the sidelines and the only major angle TNA is pushing involves Hardy, Storm, Roode and Bully. TNA once again this week delivered PPV type matches on Impact. What's the motive of buying a PPV when other than being longer really provides no difference in matchups or outcomes.
I like the Wold Title picture but having a TV title picture wouldn't bother me in the least especially until Sabin can come back to team with Shelley in order to bring life back into the tag team title picture.
It's as if they are banking the success of the company on the 4 world title major players with a few boobs mixed in. However at the least the X division is thriving.

I would like to see how much merchandise he has sold and to think he is not responsible for gaining at least some minimum exposure to the product would be faulty. He is one of a few guys that can actually get a crowd response out of the dead zone.

Anderson has been of TV for around 4 months now. That's a lot of time to repackage someone. There has to be more behind that than we know.

I disagree with this. Anderson was completely out of his game when he left TV. When he gets his act together again, yes, absolutely. If not, keep him of TV.
RVD for the most part phoned his performances in and seemed only be willing to work when he himself got put over. And it seems to me that TNA doesn't really want guys around who only want to go over themselves and are unwilling to help others out.

well it's all debatable but when you put them up against a comedic character which I think is fine well with being a comedic character in Young and the Robbie's neither RVD or Anderson look that terrible on paper in regards to the TV title. Keep in mind I'm not talking world title.
Look who could be in the TV title hunt that is currently on the roster.
Steiner, Anderson, RVD, Pope, Crimson, Morgan, Devon and add others here.
That's 7 stars not being utilized in singles competition that could and should be.
Some of the best matches of all time have been for the Intercontinental or old NWA US title. That's the purpose of having a second tier title in order to be able to build people up to the World Title. Or at least it seemed that way at one time.
Macho Man vs Rick Steamboat
Flair vs Piper
Magnum TA vs Koloff
stand out in my mind as being great feuds and matchups. They are others but those definitely are fresh in my mind.

You list those names and I get where you're coming from, I really do. But you have to keep in mind that Impact is around 85 minutes long and there just isn't enough time.
If "we" put someone in, for example for a TV title feud, we have to pull someone out. Maybe less X Division time, less tag team time (yes, I know that the tag division isn't very filled at the moment, but it gets TV time nearly every week), maybe less "TNA originals" like Daniels and Styles.
The only segments where I think "get this of TV and put someone else on" are the Garrett Bischoff segments.

Exactly... perhaps the ODB/Young bit can be shortened as well but it's kid friendly and kids buy merchandise.
I'm over the Daniels/AJ feud.. it's ran it's course. AJ should be in the world title picture or TV title picture. Daniels can either form
a team with Kazarian to take on Joe and Magnus or be involved in the TV title picture. That stated I think Daniels and Kazarian would be a great tag team.
AJ needs a new gimmick or character his "I'm a family man" persona is weak sauce. Wrestlers are characters and AJ seems unable to acknowledge that. He is a great athlete but his character is so stale no one outside current TNA fans gives a shit.
If he really gave his all when he was working with Flair he could be in Roode's position right now instead of in the mid-card shuffle. Wisely Gunner has teamed well with Flair and is the only redeeming thing out of the whole Garett conundrum.
