According to PWTorch, TNA Impact Wrestling on Thursday, February 16 scored a 1.06 rating, exactly the same as last week's year-low rating, despite following a PPV and featuring a mainstream appearance by N.Y. Giants star Brandon Jacobs.

Impact Wrestling averaged 1.52 million viewers, which was slightly up compared to an average of 1.50 million viewers last week.

Impact Wrestling declined in key demographic ratings of males & adults 18-34 and males & adults 18-49. Only the teen male demographics were up compared to last week.

Impact Wrestling's m18-34 rating was tied for the lowest of the year, the m18-49 rating was the lowest since December 22, and the a18-49 rating was also the lowest since December.

On cable TV Thursday night, Impact Wrestling ranked #31 in overall viewers, #19 among males 18-34, and #14 among males 18-49, knocking Impact Wrestling out of their usual rank within or close to the Top 10.

Pity, thought it was a very good show this week.

On the subject of EV 2.0, I dont think it was the wrestlers themselves that were popular but more the style of wrestling they brought. I love hardcore wrestling and I know a lot of other fans do too. Id love to see the return of more hardcore matches in TNA.

Unless hardcore is not what TV fans need now.WWE show us that they need "terminators" like Sheamus/Orton/Cena/Punk,less of wrestling and more of...circus.

i actually would enjoy the occasional hardcore match.. even make the TV Title somewhat of a hardcore title.. so maybe they can actually make it mean something?

That may be whats working for the fans they have left, but the wrestling industry is a mere shadow of what it was 15 years ago, where hardcore matches were far more prevalent.

Im OBVIOUSLY not attributing the decline of wrestling to a lack of hardcore matches, Im just saying that it couldnt hurt to see a few more :)

I wouldn't like to really see more hardcore matches but more stipulations. KOTM I'd like to see be brought back, TNA should bring in a HIAC match, Elimination Chamber style match, etc. It gets boring, imo, to watch 1 on 1 matches every month. Now that guys like Jarrett, Sting, Foley, Nash, RVD, etc aren't in the main event and don't hold back the product by not being able/not wanting to compete in these types of matches they're really more open to doing these matches. Although, I'm not sure how much these giant cages will cost but if they have enough to get the steel asylum built I'm pretty sure they can get a Hell In A Cell in.

I know your joking. But everyother department will die. Tna Needs to focus on growning not focusing on some casual fans who don't buy merchdise, go to house shows or buy ppvs. Tna's current tv deal allowns them to have these type of ratings. Tna doesn't have stock holders like the wwe. Tna getts millions of dollars by Spike tv just for airing there program on there network.
