The Wrestling Globe Newsletter is reporting that TNA co-founder Jerry Jarrett who is also father to Jeff Jarrett took a joking jab at the departing Vince Russo on his Facebook page:

“Since the news broke that TNA and Vince Russo have severed their relationship, I’ve gotten several request for comments. I have been hesitant to comment because Jimmy Cornette and I are dear friends. However, Mike Mooneyhan scolded me for allowing my friendship with Corney to get in the way of honest journalism. Because of my great respect for Mike, I’ve decided to break a confidence of another close
friend: “Based on reliable sources, Vince Russo and Jimmy Cornette came to terms on a multi-year contract several months ago for Russo to join Jimmy as creative director of ROH.”

Creative for ROH is Cornette, Silkin, & Delirious. Truth Martini helps too. Taking shots at other companies (excluding WWE because they're huge & still have a hellacious product) especially independents companies that are trying to grow & want to put a good product out there is really tacky & childish. Jerry is a prime example of this. Don't go bashing another man's product over your own personal issues. I think as wrestling fans we should be thankful for indy wrestling hell it gave us Styles, Daniels, Shelley & a few others. I say let them grow & applaud them for their growth. Don't like it don't watch it.

Well you kinda answered your own question. Jerry Jarrett has owned three promotions. Two failed and the 3rd he left when his son chose Russo over him. He hates guys like Russo who are successes in his business. The other thing is Jarrett is a chip off the Cornette block. If it's not shitty 1978 Memphis style garbage it sucks and you're destroying the business to Jarrett.

So he hates Russo just out of a common case of jealousy, now that is low. I kind of wonder what his releationship with his son is like?

I'm honestly not certain Zepplin. Last I heard was like 2003 or 2004 it was strained between the two over Jarrett quitting on TNA then running to the WWE looking for a job.

Jeff and his dads relationship had been damaged for years. Jerry did Jeff dirty. He now had a construction company with his other son Jason. Spends all his time with Jason and Jeffs sisters Jennifers kids. Really sad.
