TNA Star Hulk Hogan recently spoke with Stuff.co.nz and teased a TNA tour of New Zealand:

Quote

I know we are new in the marketplace there and we really want to make a good footprint everywhere we go.
And since the response has been so incredible already from your country, we really want to follow it up.
We not only want to send the show there and make sure everybody knows about us and sees and loves the show, but we also want to come to the marketplace there and service the people with a live show.
You tell me when your next summer is and that's when I'll be there. If you guys get the show red-hot and the numbers and ratings go through the roof, we'll be there a lot quicker.

Great news the more countries/places they perform at the better. More countries means more viewers & more viewers means more tickets, more merchandise, more money for TNA. Good job.

I wouldnt have thought New Zealand has a high enough population to make a tour there financially viable.

New Zealand has a population of more than 4 million, I think that is enough for a mini tour like they did in Abu Dhabi.

Presumably it would be part of an Australian tour, but they announced that in 2009 and it fell through when it didn't sell enough tickets.

I don't see how anything has changed since then - ratings and DVD exposure are lower than they were in 2009.
