Who here loved WCW 2000? a lot of people hated this time in WCW. I don't know why. This was one of the best times in wrestling, it was unpredictable, edgy and shocking every week. Loved the stuff like New Blood/Millionaires Club, Bischoff turning on Hogan, Norman Smiley/Ralphus, Steiner with his freaks Midajah & Shikira, Lance Storm winning the US Title, Cruiserweight Title & Hardcore Title, Jim Duggan joining Team Canada, Kanyon/DDP feud, Jeff Jarrett as The Chosen One, Vince Russo's shoots, Goldberg turning heel for the first time ever, 3 Count, Natural Born Thrillers. There was always something happening and it seems like when Russo was in charge, everyone had something to do. Also, loved Kevin Nash as the WCW Commissioner. WCW 2000 was a great era.

Did anyone really watch for the stage/sets?

Can't forget the Hogan/Kidman feud, sucked it didn't do much for Kidman's career. Did like his shoots on Hogan though. Also Hogan ditching the red and yellow/black & white and just being Terry.

I started watching wrestling in 2002. I can't comment too much on what happened in WCW 2000 but from what I've heard/seen it was just one big clusterfuck. Also, 60 million dollars lost? Dayum.

Around 2000 I started watching WWF. A year later, WCW was finally broadcasted here, but I didn't watch regularly. Back then, WCW programming as well as WWF was behind around a year in my country, so I'm guessing that was WCW from 2000. I saw a few episodes and it seemed very good to me. It was on on Saturdays though, so I couldn't watch at that time since I usually had other activities programmed by my parents on saturdays. I was around ten.

I started watching around April 1999, I only saw 3 month's worth of WCW. My Few memories of WCW that stick out was an Unmasked Rey Mysterio JR getting his salad tossed by Hugh Morrus clean, but somehow Rey won the match by DQ WTF!?!

LOVED FILTHY ANIMALS Too.

i watched it and i'm a huge fan of wcw and yes youre right every week something happened but maybe that was the problem. You can do that but not every week. I saw those episodes a month ago and it was to much changes. and Goldberg heel was unpredictable but also something that was a very bad move for the ratings ai suppose. The people where watching for goldberg. The arena chere chanting for goldberg and then he became heel. All of that was suddenly gone. Like i said a brilliant move but it turnt out bad and thats why i believe a company like the wwe will never let cena become heel because of ratings and merchandise

WCW 2000 was when I was working on my undergrad degree, so I wasn't able to watch every week like I did in high school. I do remember really liking Curt Hennig and West Texas Rednecks and their "Rap is Crap" song, however that may have been '99. I remember going to the Nitro in Atlanta when they performed their song live, and they were more over than Master P and his goons who were supposed to be the fan favorites. Jindrak and O'Haire seemed like they were destined to be tag team stars at the time. I was glad to see General Rection (Hugh Morris) finally get a push as the leader of the Misfits in Action and winning the US Title after working hard for so many years. Unfortunately, the only other things that I remember from that era were the KISS Demon, Lenny and Lodi's "affair", and the whole "who was driving the white hummer" saga.

Quoted for truth.

I liked much of WCW 2000 and understood that it would take time for everything to fully play out and get rolling, many did not. I also understood things were jumping in a million different directions because Time Warner changed booking committee's and head bookers SIX times in 2000. Russo/Ferrara, Kevin Sullivan, Bill Busch, Russo/Bischoff, Russo, Johnny Ace. That's an average of a new team with their own methods and ideas every two months.

Still better than this:

How they turned the home of Steve Austin into a saturday morning cartoon is still a mistery for me.

I really liked the Lance Storm push until for no reason, Kevin Nash walks out and boots him and walks away when Lance was getting good heat as a heal. Here is a quote from Lance Storm's website.

"Q: When Kevin Nash came out and gave you a big boot for no reason during WCW, did you ever go talk to him about it afterward and ask what the point of it was?

A: No I did not. When he first came into the locker room that day he looked at me and asked, “Are we doing something together today?” I told him yes and explained the segment as it was told to me. To this he responded something to the effect, “What’s the point of that? That doesn’t’ make any f---ing sense.” Whether those where his legit feelings or this was just his way of avoiding heat for burying me, I have no idea."

nWo 2000 with Steiner, Jarrett, Nash, Hall, Hart & The Harris Brothers weren't bad either, not as good as the original nWo, but they weren't bad.

As a wcw fan I really had no problem with the show. At the same time I was not part of Iwc just basically a normal fan who didn't give a shit about ratings about the writing or booking. I just wanted to be entertain. Sadly does days are over. I personally can't watch any old wcw video if wwe logo is on the screen.. The thing that piss me off the most is watching wwe version of wcw and people in iwc eating it up like it is a fact. The person I hate the most is the big show. The guy was a former wcw champion and one of top heals in the company and he acts like he was jobber in wcw. The turth was wwe paid you more money that is why you left. You career as wrestler was at its highest when you where in nwo or when you where fueding with hogan as andre the giant son.
