I don't thing it gets more confusing than King of The Mountain & the Nasty Boys suck ass. No tag-team has ever once stated they wanted to be like the Nastys. (I take that back maybe 3D or some Combat Zone Wrestling guys). But nobody relevant is/was inspired by the Nastys that like saying "I'm inspired by the Brookyln Brawler or Spike Dudley" nobody in their right mind says that.
