- James Storm announced last night that he will be taking time away from the ring, including live events. Storm cut a promo on last night's Impact Wrestling about having his luck run out, and followed that up with this tweet, "Emotional time in my life after Lockdown. Need time to think about what I need to do and will not be making live events. I apologize."
According to ProWrestling.net, word is this is an opportunity for James to fully heal from several nagging injuries. No word on how long he will be out.

- TNA issued a statement to PWInsider.com noting that several of the markets that allegedly had problems with transmissions of the Lockdown PPV in theaters actually ran without issue. There were some issues but the majority of the locations ran as scheduled. There were also instances of fans coming to Screenvision Theaters that weren't scheduled to screen the PPV looking for the showing, which actually showed some interest in the product - and that's only a good thing.

- The broadcast issues last night with Impact Wrestling were on SpikeTV's end.

- Garett Bischoff turns 28 today.

Garrett is 28? So we can pretty much throw out him training in OVW. He needs years and years of development before he can even be a decent midcarder. It's not like he has the look of Batista to pull off training in his 30's. His career is going nowhere.

Goldberg was 30 when he start.

But he had a great look (something which Garrett doesn't have) and his matches were mostly short squash matches. Plus when he did become a main eventer and he had to go longer than 60 seconds, the people he was wrestling were often either a) able to carry him or B) so immobile/lazy that he looked better by comparison.

I think Garrett does good considering he hasn't been in the business that long, I'll give him some time, I don't hate on him just because he's Eric's son.

Seriously, I don't think anybody does. I(and I know I'm speaking for a lot of people here) hate him because he sucks so bad and is put in the main event. He has little to no wrestling ability, little to no mic skills, little to no character, and has the stupidest tattoos I think I've ever seen. Out of every single wrestler I've ever watched in my life I can say with 100% certainty that Garrett is BY FAR the worst of them all and the fact that he lead the team and got the fucking pin in Lethal Lockdown makes me sick.

Nobody here does to my knowledge. We dislike him because he isnt ready. He needs a lot more time in training, yet he is being pushed to the moon and has to have faces come out to the ring with him to try and ensure that he doesnt get booed (This doesnt always work. See the London tapings and a chant of "Fuck off Bischoff"). Why is he getting pushed so hard? One can only speculate.

Storm should cut out the drinking habit, or tone it down little bit. No matter how tough and badass he is, he's still human, not machine; which will one day breakdown and excessive alcohol consumption will only speed up the process. His recent liver problem hopefully not the early sign. But if i was him, i would take extra caution and watch my diet.

He said in an interview he drink when he's on the road but not at home because of his child. I can't tell, but each time he step into the ring he drank at least one bottle of beer (or was it fake?). Its no secret, that is his lifestyle (he said what he's in the ring is his real self, no gimmick). Anyway, i'm not trying to sound smart. But it's simple, you drink too much (in long run), you'll eventually destroy your body. He's an athlete, he know this better. If he's not drink that much, then fine. Just follow what his doctor advise him to do.

If you do too much of anything you will damage yourself. But consider it this way:

He doesnt drink at home. He *barely* drinks on his way to the ring because it often gets sprayed all over the crowd or spilled down his chest because he holds it above his head. Thats assuming that its an alcoholic beverage because I really doubt that it is, as he often pours it into the mouths of some of the audience members and there are rules about people under 21 drinking in the US. I dont see him asking for ID before he does it! So the rest of the time is spent on the road, where he will often have to drive between locations. Ive never heard of him getting a DUI, have you?

Oh and he openly stated that the damage to his liver was nothing to do with drinking.

I know he said according to his doctor that about his liver surgery has nothing to do with his drinking. What he said.. bruised on the outside? I hope that's the case. But they're so close; liver and alcohol.. some doctor will advise their patient that suffered from similar condition to stop drinking or smoking for a while. Maybe his nagging injury has nothing to do with recent surgeries. But to engage in physical activity shortly after those surgeries, i doubt he was at his best at Lockdown and the buildup prior that match. Anyway, it's perfect time for him to take some rest

I'm honestly surprised.. They didn't turn Storm's time off into a cock and bull story about him not being happy with TNA for keeping him from the world title once again.

I still like Garett better than Ryder, Punk, and Bryan. He has a better finishing move than those guys, too.
