TNA Knockout ODB was recently interviewed by Colt Cabana for his Art Of Wrestling podcast. Below is a quick recap:

On her real life personality:
"Nope, this is basically just me with the volume turned up. I do have some girly girl things, i like to be held, i like to cuddle. I'm old fashioned I like the door being opened for me."

On her time outside of wrestling:
"I work at a bar. I love the bar scene. I'm actually working on my own bar one day. I want to call it ODB's One dirty bar. Just a crap hole. I serve, bartend. Im not a fancy bartender, if you want a Bahama mamma, get the hell out of here. its rum and coke, can of beer, PBR."

Funny Bartending Stories:
"I will tell you a funny story, i wasn't bartending this night but one of the bartenders, johnny and some drunk ass kid came in. Must have been 22, just hammers. He ordered a shot of rumpleminze, thats pretty big in Minnesota. its a shot that tastes like mouth wash. Its like 80 proof. the kid was already hammered and he paid 5 bucks for the shot. The bartender Johnny just poured water in it. You should have seen the kids face, he acted like the drink was strong. It's funny, his parents had to come pick him up. He got in trouble by his parents."

Whether she was a wrestling fan growing up
"Oh GOD yeah. My parents would take me to the old armories. On the old old st. Paul armory. Jumping Jim Bronzell was the first wrestler i ever met. I wore my Zumbas, my old venice beach muscle shirt. Was such a nerd, think i had a perm too or mullet. Buck Zumhofe was there and i think Larry Zybyzko. When my parents met, they would go to wrestling shows together. When we were born they would take us to shows with Hulk Hogan and Macho Man Randy Savage. I hated Hulk Hogan growing up, I hated all of the good guys."

How she got her start in wrestling:
"[got my start with] Good ol' Eddie Sharkey! He just sat on a lawn chair and collected your money. Then after about four months he was like "You're ready! You're ready for your first match!" and I was like "No I'm not!". I had to pay a little bit but since i was a girl i think he had a soft spot for me or he probably just forgot."

"I [struggled] for a couple of years because I didn't look like the other girls. I rolled with a good group of friends though, traveled with Ken Anderson, Davari, you and punk were in the mix. The scene was really good at the time. Like when i go to indy shows these days, i hate to say it but i just don't see any stars right now."

On getting her start in TNA:
"I was trying to get into TNA forever. I packed up my stuff in my truck and moved over to Nashville. Yeah i wanted to be in TNA and they weren't doing much with girls at that point but i just felt i needed to get my name out there. I would just crash on people's couches and stuff. That's where i met Traci Brooks and we became BFFs."

"After that I don't think i got my own place yet. I was down there for about 2 years and i moved from house to house about 10 times. I also was a bartender and a bouncer at a bar in Nashville. It was funny because all of the TNA guys would come in on Tuesday night after the show."

On her breast enhancement and issues with them in the ring:
" I wanted to feel good about myself and so i got these. I popped one during a match. The first one was fine, it was salene and so it drained. During the knockout new years eve thing we did a few years back, I wrestled three times in one night. And i got a pain near my armpit and i thought, well i just wrestled three times. So after the show i went out, had some drinks. I told myself i need to drink away this pain. I went home and fell asleep without showering. When i woke up in the morning i looked at myself in the mirror and i said "Are you shitting me!?" I noticed one of my "tires" were flat."

"Lucky i have boob insurance but i wrestled like this for about two months because you couldn't just take time off when you are moving pretty good. Now these puppies are silicone, they aren't going anywhere."

On finally getting a contract with TNA:
"I was in OVW training there for a while. I don't like to drop names but One day Shawn Michaels and HHH were there and they were looking at everyone. I talked with them and thats when TNA was actually doing the knockout division. I got advice from them (shawn and HHH) and they told me to just take the opportunity. I got the call from Terry Taylor."

"It was weird because all of the first girls were signed to a contract except for me. Then they realized that and they said "crap, we forgot to sign you!".

WHAT!? HHH and Shawn Michaels told her to give TNA a shot? Boob and bar stories aside, that's the best issue to come out of this entire article. They were right in telling her that though, she went to TNA, got over like gang busters, left TNA, and WWE STILL never gave her more than a developmental look.
