Those frustrated think that live shows would be a great idea, but that TNA has much bigger problems such as an overreliance on Hulk Hogan, the same old booking problems and friends and family getting pushed over more deserving talent.

The feeling is that while live shows would be great, the company has much bigger issues to deal with (such as reliance on Hogan himself, the inability to book things properly and the pushing of friends and family over actual talented wrestlers). Given how numbers have dropped since Hulk Hogan replaced Sting and Garett and Eric Bischoff have become a focal point of the show, it's hard to argue with them. And that doesn't take into account the cost involved with going live weekly, which TNA has shown at this time they can't recoup.
1. Hogan has a maximum of two appearances which last less than 10 minutes on a 2 hour show. How is that relying on him?
2. "Inability to book things properly" - since when is there a "proper" way to book things? You know, one which satisfies everyone? Every booking decision has its supporters and people who hate it.
3. Hogan is pushing his friends and family over actual talented wrestlers? Garett aside, who else is there? Roode? Storm? The Guns? Hardy? Anderson? Bully? Joe and Magnus? Aries?
This has loads of shit written all over it. But hey - it sets it all up nicely for the "locker room morale is down" story!

"reliance on Hogan himself"
Hogan disappeared from Impact for months, dont think they were relying on him then? Hell I could swear Hogan has had minimial TV time the last few weeks.
"the inability to book things properly"
Says who? I think TNA's booking of the main event program has been quite good and nothing has been booked terribly in recent months.
"the pushing of friends and family over actual talented wrestlers"
K that is bad. Pretty sure that is something every wrestling company since the beginning of time has done that, why dont you say this when wwe does it as well or when ROH does it or when ECW did it etc.

There are little things they can do now to mildly improve ratings while they build up their new stars. Return to things that have always been reliable ratings grabbers for them (on a small scale.) Turn Gail Kim face, reunite the Beautiful People, keep Hogan's segments brief but with more energy. None of those sorts of changes will light the world on fire or bring in a ton of new viewers, but Gail's segments as a face always got high ratings in the quarter hour breakdowns, as did any appearance by TBP. Squeeze what remaining star power they can out of Hogan in small doses, get rid of Garrett, and just concentrate on putting on a solid, entertaining show and eventually, they'll get where they need to be.

None of these people are professional journalists. They have no credentials, they have no professional background worth a fuck. The majority of their stories have been proven to be absolutely wrong and they rely heavily on sensationalism, spin, playing favorites and following up on a story with a "logical" development, fed to them by an "anonymous source", which in the journalism world is another word for "I made this up". Most of them are simply fans like you and I, the difference being that they are useless Lit grads OR don't even have that. So no, I don't think it's reliable. Why would I?

All dirt sheets report pretty much the same stories and they're all false (for the most part). They pass them around like doobies.
