TNA Star A.J. Styles will be appearing on the TV broadcast of the 43rd annual Dove Awards Tuesday night on the GMC channel. The two-hour show airs at 8:00 EST. TNA issued a press release noting Styles will join Montell Jordan to present the “Best Rap/Hip Hop Record of the Year” award:

Styles joins Montell Jordan and a host of other musical standouts including former American Idols, sports figures, country music stars and many more at the 43rd Annual GMA Dove Awards, Tuesday, April 24. The awards will air on GMC (the Gospel Music Channel) at 8:00 and 10:00 p.m. EST.

IMPACT WRESLTING(sic) superstar A.J. Styles is a devout Christian and jumped at the opportunity to be a part of the annual awards show. The awards were held at The Fabulous Fox Theatre in Atlanta, GA this past week, just a few miles from Styles’s hometown of Gainesville, Ga. “I have always been a big fan of Christian music and I have to say that Lecrae is my all time favorite. It was such a pleasure to meet him and watch him perform, he is amazing. The whole show was top notch and I am proud that I was able to be apart of it,” says Styles.

I never heard of Dove Awards nor knew the GMC channel but good luck AJ

Nothing says hip hop to me like an R&B singer past his prime & a country boy wrestler. Good that the wrestlers are getting exposure beyond TNA.

That was a very nice show. And it's safe to say that AJ blazed Gospel Hip Hop and R&B to the fullest.

I'm not the christian music fan at all but good for AJ to be getting some sort of mainstream exposure.

He should have worn an extra long T-Shirt which read: "TNA IMPACT THURSDAY NIGHTS ON SPIKE TV. THAT'S RIGHT THERE ARE WRESTLING COMPANIES OUT THERE OTHER THAN THE WWE SO GIVE US A WATCH... JEFF HARDY'S THERE REMEMBER HIM?... AND KURT ANGLE... MATT MORGAN'S THERE TOO THOUGH YOU PROBABLY WON'T REMEMBER HIM, BUT CHECK US OUT ANYWAY. THURSDAY NIGHTS ON SPIKE TV... DID I MENTION THAT WE AREN'T THE WWE?..."
