TNA Wrestler Christpher Daniels spoke with The Visala Times Delta on the upcoming basebrawl event at Visalia Recreation Park on May 6. Below are some quick highlights.
On his presence in Impact Wrestling:
"It is a fact that the ratings move up on TV 10 to 15 percent when I'm on," Daniels said during a recent phone interview. "I am the new face of Impact Wrestling."
When asked if the interview was done in character:
"You are absolutely wrong," Daniels said when asked if he was doing the interview in character. "This is me 100 percent. This is the way I talk. I talk like this when I'm at a car wash."
On the strong fan interaction TNA has:
"Our shows are very interactive. We want people to cheer for their favorites or boo the ones they don't like. Most of the time, they're booing me. But they do that because they're jealous of me. I don't take it personal because I'm better looking than them. I just hope to inspire them to try and be more like me."
"The best way to experience it is live. It is one thing to watch us on TV, but live you get the full experience. TNA Impact Wrestling is fan friendly, you'll get to meet the stars and walk away with a lot of memories."
On the emphasis of wrestling at live events:
"One of the things that sets us apart from other promotions is we put a premium on in-ring action," Daniels said. "The real action is in the ring and that's what people come to see."
