Right now I think the best route TNA should go is try to take all of their PPVs out on the road. This way they only do it 12 times a year instead of 52 and they can mark which markets they're are the strongest in so if they do go on the road for IW eventually they know exactly where to stop off.

That would most likely be the second best option if they do want to go on the road for IW, however they should be prepared not to rely on gate sales.

I agree with you on this, I think all the PPV's should be live on the road. As far as Impact goes my hats of to TNA to stay in the black. I think it would be foolish for them to go on the road every week if that puts them in the red. As far as fan base I think TNA is doing a great job going slow and adding fans as they go. I mean ten years ago they were not even touring or even on anyones radar.

Also, TNA's marketing blows WWE's marketing out of the water. The E -still- cruises on its legacy. TNA is doing a ton more to gain publicity (and it does help, just not in the US) and people never speak bad about a TNA house show (which also counts as valuable marketing).

everything is great at house shows, until you get yelled at by some of the officials. I do agree with everything else though.

It still won't get a higher rating it's on Spike TV, a lower performing network. Only way I can see TNA actually getting higher ratings is if they go to mega advertising.

It's not about improving the ratings, it's about improving the overall quality. TNA's finally figuring it out.

Slammiversary was definitely easier to watch due to the crowd, which was larger and loud. They reacted properly and brought even more energy to a fantastic show.

Impact can sometimes be harder to watch due to the low attendance of 1,400, the mix of holidaymakers, plants, plus the locals who can go all the time so it's not special for them. Therefore the proper atmosphere isn't there and the show also looks small time due to the attendance. The atmosphere might improve slightly now that 3 shows aren't being taped over the course of a couple of days.

Surely there's room at Universal for TNA to get a soundstage that could hold more fans, so they can make the shows look less small league. If they lower the number of PPV's maybe they could get out of Orlando more for both Impact and PPV's.

Solve those real problems and the ratings will improve, and they'll be assured of having sufficient audience when they spend the extra money to go on the
road

"real" problems, LMAO. Half of what you said could be debated, and true or false, ratings can't be predicted. If they go on the road, it doesn't mean higher ratings

It's funny in a sad way Killer Queen, it seems lil Raidy has decided to coopt the latest IWC mantra(of course0 that ratings don't matter. Of course you and I and THINKING people know that they do matter and that SpikeTV execs aren't sitting around beating off to X-Division matches, they're looking at the numbers.

Here, for the "ratings don't matter!" crowd: There's a reason talks fell through between TNA and ESPN, there's a reason they can't jump to a better network and there's a reason SpikeTV was only willing to extend their contract by a few years and didn't rush out with a huge longterm deal. Hint: It's not because Spike is waiting them to bring back no talent spotmonkeys to flip around like idiots. It's the ratings. There's a reason they haven't landed even more ad contracts in the U.S.... It's the ratings.

Ratings matter, BIG TIME. Hopefully Dixie wakes up ASAP and tells Pritchard to go back to sucking off McMahon before Spike decides it's just not worth it to keep pouring money into a product that's going the way of ROBingo Hall under his (lack of) direction.

no ones saying that if they start turning they have to do 20,000 seat arenas. they can do places in ny/nj/pa/va and all up and down the east coast that seat 3000-5000 fans. if they do those and sell 2500 and comp 1000 theyre way ahead of the game.
