As for Brock, IMO he was always a paper champion. In my eyes a champion is someone with many legit wins and losses under his belt. Losing one fight and winning your third to become heavyweight champion in a division you don't even belong in (Brock's natural weight puts him in the UFC's non-existent super heavyweight division) doesn't make you a real champion. On the other end of that, it's clear a rematch by the UFC is going to be in quick order. Lesnar is a money hog for them and i can assure everyone that while velasquez is a great fighter and has a great hispanic demographic, he won't draw the same money Lesnar did. They aren't going to let their largest investment go down like that.

Thanks 404.... But I read about the merger on UFC website. Wow they got some stupid people on there. One guy wanted UFC to buy Bellator so they can sign Eddie Alvarez which is stupid Bellator is Indie promotion where only 10% of there fighters are contract fighters everybody else are free agents. If ufc where to buy Bellator the contract fighters well be come free agent and Eddie Alvarez was a free agent two different times and still didnt sign with the ufc. By the way most of the people who fight for Bellator also fignt in KOTC which any tom and herry can fight in.

I see what you mean, but Velasquez is getting Junior dos Santos next. As for Brock, I don't who he might face next. I suppose Big Nog is a possibility.

Mark my words, that will likely be the last match Velasquez has before Lesnar gets an immediate rematch. It's all about money; White and the Fertitta's are not just going to sit there and watch their potential gravy train go down the drain.

We'll see. But I mainly think that the way that Brock lost would prevent an immediate title shot for him. And funny that waz mentioned it, but I read last night that sources close to Brock believe he'll fight Mir next.

I'd never watched an MMA show before, and the one last saturday was my first, and i have to say, i was thoroughly impressed by it. Only disappointment was Brock Lesnar losing.

It was my 5th show and I'm getting bored pretty fast.

P.S. Glad about Brock's losing effort. It looks like he's doing the exact same mistakes over and over again.

Dunno. The last lesnar fight scored the ufc over 14million in ticket sales alone. You tell me, you think cain will net that much? Secretly, the ufc owners are crying over lesnars loss

Sorry, i wrote that from my cell phone and i really should have been more specific. I forgot where i saw the article, it was actually one being critical of how Lesnar is treated as the ufc poster child and how his loss will actually affect their profit. The total amount of tickets sold with Brock on the cards in his ufc career is 14 million. Lesnar vs Couture alone netted them nearly 6 million in ticket sales.

Phenomenal card by Strikeforce Saturday night. 3 huge KO's. Daley's counter left hook on Smith was especially nice.

I missed it!

Luckily someone sent me this video.

I have always said it and I'll say it again, strikeforce seems to have plenty of names that are hungry for a shot. Look at strikeforce challengers for example. they have awesome fights.

Huges signings for the UFC. Signing Michihiro Omigawa and Kid Yamamoto is great for the FW and BW classes.

wow did GSP kick some but yesterday. I wonder who is going to fight next. I don't now why people want to see him fight the spider. I guess because they are top fighters in there own division. Imo that would be a boring fight. Styles make a fight. There is no way the spider well want to go the ground with gsp and there is no way GSP well exchange with the spider. I could see the fight being a game of chess with no real action.
