Oh really? Because ratings tell me people draw and not CM Punk. His T shirts are bought by Internet fans which is usually 10% or I'd even go as far as 20%.

Well RAW got a 2.9. Cena was the #2 seller on WWEShop during Summer of Punk 2.

If CM Punk's merch is bought by 10% of the audience then that must mean Cena's was bought my 5%.

Low ratings + 5% of people buying Shirts = NOT A DRAW DAMMIT!!!

Seriously, his Nexus shirts sold out a week after his shoot and his BITW shirts were all over the place. He's in the top 5 sellers on WWEShop and either smarks grew by thousands in a few months or he got over with all the people sick of Cena. I'm gonna go with he got over.

The WWE Title still has some prestige.
It's what all WWE male talent aspire to win, it's what most guys on the indies dream of holding one day and winning it still means something in the eyes of the fans.

The lower belts are somewhat meaningless though. I had quite high hopes when Cody won the IC belt and cut a promo talking about how it had been devalued by guys like Ezekiel Jackson having held it, but then ofcourse he never defended it and lost it to the Big Show...

Any time anyone mentions the credibility of a belt in a promo, it's already devalued. Haven't seen much of Cody's stuff, but if he said that about the IC title, he's an idiot!

So he basically beat someone worthless, now we are supposed to think he's great? He needs to OWN the title and sell it like he's now at the top of his game.

They've been doing the same shit with the tag belts. From the boring tag champs gimmick to the lack of tv time deal. Hell, I even hate it when someone says a secondary title is just a stepping stone to the world title. (i.e. Austin throwing IC in river)
