I thought things were looking up for the X Division after Destination X, but I haven't been that pleased since. Austin Aries is awesome, but when you book him in one on one matches(against Kendrick :/,) the same way Styles, Daniels and everyone else is booked, what is even the point in having the X Division? When I think X Division, I think chaotic matches that are all over the place. The X Division is the place your allowed to be a spot monkey, but I haven't seen much of that in a while. X Division should be tag matches, 3 ways, 4 ways, battle royals, and gimmick style matches. There are enough one on matches on the card as it is, the X Division is suppose to be different - atleast in my opinion.

So if you could grab anyone from anywhere (WWE, TNA, ROH, AJPW, NJPW, AAA, CMLL, etc.) to create the best X Division roster possible, who would you grab? What would be the greatest collection of X Division athletes in your opinion?

I personally think TNA needs more air-time so they could really highlight the X Division, so don't let the current alotted time for Impact affect your roster amount. I'd say keep the roster below 25 and maybe name which 10 are the best in the world and/or your MUST HAVE'S(IF you want.)

Top 10
Austin Aries(TNA)
Rey Mysterio(WWE)
Chris Sabin(TNA)
Davey Richards(ROH)
AJ Styles(TNA)
Daniel Bryan(WWE)
Jack Evans(AAA)
Teddy Hart(Rehab?)
Prince Devitt(NJPW)
Low Ki

Rest of Roster
John Morrison(WWE)
Sin Cara(WWE)
Extreme Tiger(AAA)
Evan Bourne(WWE)
Eddie Edwards(ROH)
Zema Ion(TNA)
El Generico(ROH)
Alex Shelley(TNA)
Kenny Omega(AJPW)
Amazing Red
Petey Williams(DGate)
Briscoes(ROH)

Don't know much about Lucha and Puro and I'm sure there are a ton of names that belong here, so what does your roster look like?

I'm sorry, they don't need anyone else, they just need to run the division proporly. i love Aries but im sorry, Sorrenson and Kash shouldn't be in the positions they are in. the strongest rookies in that division are Zima and Tony Nese. Nese is an amazing, POWERFUL, big style x division wrestler, TNA why the fuck you drop the ball with this kid, how the fuck does Robbie E get air time and Nese doesn't! if you don't belive me, go watch Nese's Indy matches, the guy is god!!!

Is it wrong that I hate Daniel Bryan with a passion. The character of course. Hell I barley liked him in ROH. I want him nowhere near TNA.

See, all of you agree, Tony Nese deserves a shot!!!! we need to do a tna petition, the guy is Solid in the ring, and can be a perfect heel, IMO Aries needs to be face, everywhere he goes he gets a face reaction because he's so damn good!

Baby Faces:
Aries
Ion
Kendrick
Sorrenson
Robbie E (his gimmick sucks so bad, its good enough to get over as a face)
Shelly
Sabin
Kazarian

Heels:
Nese
Kash
Daniels
Haskins
Shannon Moore

Dont have to convince me as Im a huge fan of Nese. It boggles my mind that he is on the sidelines (training at 3D academy) while Jesse "I only know how to do a roll-up pin" Sorrensen gets a pretty decent push on Impact

Just get rid of Mark Haskins and hire someone useful. I bet that would do WONDERS for the division.

I'd put at least one X-Division match on Impact every single week and give it between 5-15 minutes depending on number of people involved and what the purpose of the match is (#1 contenders, exhibition from a newcomer, etc) and to do it, I need to add the following ten guys to the current X-Division.

1. Jack Evans
2. Low-Ki
3. Amazing Red (rehired)
4. John Morrison
5. Kofi Kingston
6. Evan Bourne
7 and 8. The Briscoe Brothers
9. Eddie Edwards
10. Chuck Taylor

Imagine THAT with the current X-Division guys!

I'm happy with any version of the X Division, as long as it doesn't have Amazing Red in it.

Thank you! I'm glad to know that I'm not the only one that doesn't particularly like Red.

@Kirk -- I don't think the Briscoes should be anywhere near the X-Div. Not that they couldn't do it, but they're needed in the tag ranks.

I've also never been particularly high on Kingston.

I'd say bring back Homicide, and bring in Generico and either Rhett Titus (who might not work because his persona is too close to Morrison) or Steen (who could take over the Samoa Joe "XDiv bad-ass" role)

Gives me an idea then. With the return of the Machine Guns, throw Briscoes in there along with two other indy tag teams that are getting decent attention and fix two divisions with one talent hiring spree. To replace them, bring in Steen and Generico (who could also tag) and I suppose bring in Titus perhaps to feud with Morrison over the similarities? Or, he could try and date Melina and that brings the two to feud... one gets a new gimmick, the winner keeps it.

Not bad. The "Who's the better pretty-boy douche?" feud.

So torn on Steen/Generico. Only because I like my Steen insane, and tagging him with the sympathetic Generico (though it was AWESOME in ROH) would probably make TNA break them up sooner than later. But together or apart, I would love to see them both in TNA. Imagine a Steen/Joe feud... there's no way that wouldn't be great.

1. Austin Aries. This guy is so money right now, and he totally knows it.

2. AJ Styles. Even as a part time guy, he fills the Dean Malenko role in that when he has the title or is wrestling for it, it means something more.

3. Evan Bourne. Perfect foil for Aries. Aries is a grounded worker and aloof personality. Bourne is a grounded guy and a high flyer.

4-7. Motor City Machine Guns and London and Kendrick. I know that realistically they'll never work out as a part of a major promotion. In my own little fantasy world, though, they stop smoking weed, stop being so damn weird, and cooperate with people and make the magic happen in the ring.

8. Doug Williams. I love this guy and the way they're not using him is criminal.

9. Xema Ion. I'm enjoying watching him grow.

10. Jesse Sorenson. Pre-injury, I think he had the most long term potential of any guy in the division.

11. PAC. "The Man That Gravity Forgot" should have been here a long time ago, if for no other reason than the nickname.

12. Davey Richards. I don't want him to be the face of the promotion, but I think his psuedo-shoot style would bring a very interesting dynamic to the division.

13. Prince Devitt. I just like this guy, personally. Let him bring the IWGP Junior Championship over for something resembling the X Cup against Aries.

14. Taka Michinoku. Again, a special attraction two or three times a year or for one short run annually. Hell, bring a version Kai En Tai over to raid the X Division just in time to have a special X Division version of Lethal Lockdown.

Again, I know these aren't realistic in any way, shape, form, or fashion. If I could have one guy off this list realistically that's not there now, I'd want Doug Williams to be used more often. Outside of the current roster, I've wanted PAC to show up for damn near forever now.

I would build a time machine and bring back all the cruiserweight from wcw and hire back some of the guys from tna's early years.
